Safety Town is a comprehensive safety education program for children 4-6 years old. The program introduces safety awareness and prevention procedures. Children MUST be 4 by July 1st to participate. The curriculum includes all aspects of safety such as stranger abduction, poisons, fire, matches, bicycles, railroad crossings, playground safety, toys, water, traffic, animals, and many more. We will play games, have a miniature town set up, have demonstrations and story time.
Safety Town Teen Leaders are needed (must be going into 5th grade or older)!
To volunteer, call Matthew @ 963-0047 or E-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
Teen Leaders help instruct the children in Safety Town and volunteer their time to work daily with the children, helping them learn safety through stories, practicing “real life” street situations in a miniature city layout complete with blocks and buildings. Teen Leaders, work with a group of 3-4 children (under the guidance of adult instructors) helping them develop healthy, safe attitudes. Each instructor will receive a T-shirt and be invited to a Safety Town Appreciation party.
